Tamiflu® [cap]

contents:
Oseltamivir phosphate

indicator:
treatment &prevention of flu

dosage:
For treatment - 75mg bd for 5 days. Begin treatment within the 1st or 2nd day of onset of flu symptoms.
For prevention - 75 mg once daily for at least 7 days. Prevention during a community outbreak: 75 mg once daily for 6 weeks.

ADR:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bronchitis, abdominal pain, dizziness, headache, insomnia, cough, vertigo, fatigue

instruction:
to be taken with or without food

Relenza® [rotadisk]

Zanamivir

indication:
treatment & prophylaxis of influenza A & B

dosage:
For treatment - 2 inhalations bd for 5 days, providing a total dose of 20 mg/day. Treatment should begin as soon as possible but not later than 48 hr after onset of symptoms.
For prophylaxis 2 inhalations once daily, providing a total dose of 10 mg/day for 10 days. May be increased up to 28 days if the risk of exposure is >10 days.
